Lady GLADIATORS’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Lady GLADIATORS defeated Kennedy 22-4 on Thursday. Andrea Cabrera induced a groundout from N Wolde to get the last out of the game.
Kenia Hernandez showed a strong eye at the plate in the victory for Lady GLADIATORS, as she walked three times.
Lady GLADIATORS fired up the offense in the first inning, when Cabrera grounded out, scoring one run.
Lady GLADIATORS tallied 11 runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Aniya Sebens, Selam Wehabe, Rafa Saleh, Daisha Bouknight, and Cabrera and home runs by Hernandez and Elizabeth Isaacson.
Jeniffer Guandique earned the victory in the circle for Lady GLADIATORS. She lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and four runs while striking out one. Cabrera threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
M Perez took the loss for Kennedy. She surrendered 22 runs on 22 hits over five innings.
Lady GLADIATORS smacked two home runs on the day. Hernandez went yard in the second inning. Isaacson had a long ball in the second inning.
Lady GLADIATORS racked up 22 hits. Cabrera, Bouknight, Guandique, Isaacson, Amy Lusignan, Sebens, and Kelli Taney all managed multiple hits for Lady GLADIATORS. Cabrera led Lady GLADIATORS with four hits in five at bats. Lady GLADIATORS stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Sebens led the way with two. Lady GLADIATORS didn’t commit a single error in the field. Cabrera had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
F Montano led Kennedy with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
