Early Lead For Wheaton Seals Fate For Lady Gladiators
Lady Gladiators watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 25-13 loss to Wheaton on Tuesday. Wheaton scored on a walk by M Ortiz, a walk by L Teneyck, a walk by T Nicholson, a groundout by B Meku, and an error in the first inning.
Lady Gladiators collected 14 hits and Wheaton had zero in the high-scoring affair.
Lady Gladiators scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Lady Gladiators offense in the inning was led by Kenia Hernandez, Kelli Taney, Libby Isaacson, Andrea Vargas, Jeniffer Guandique, and Thania Argueta, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Teneyck led things off on the rubber for Wheaton. She went five innings, allowing 13 runs on 14 hits and striking out three.

Lady Gladiators stole eight bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Taney led the way with three.
Nicholson led Wheaton with four runs batted in. She went 0-for-0 on the day.
